Work has been started on the idea of managers having control over their stadium and expansions to it. This idea is some way off yet but the idea is to allow managers to extend their stadiums capacity, manage facilities and generally keep the stadium in acceptable condition (so the bigger stadiums will cost more for their upkeep, but take more revenue over a season).

The idea of 'boxing' the stadium, as shown in the images, is that you can only build in the space available. Some clubs will have smaller patches of land and as such if they fill this and want to expand more, would have to buy new land for a new stadium built from scratch (which would be very expensive but only going to apply to big teams).

The only problem at the moment is how to intergrate this into the game. A window can be set up for stadium management, eg. the end of the season, where people can request improvements and so on. The problem is I need a way in which this is done easily for managers, as FA needs to be easy to play for new comers. If anyone has suggestions on this idea they're welcome.

Of course if people don't like the idea, it can be scrapped as with all suggestions for upgrades. There's no rush to develop the idea though as it couldn't be brought in until the end of the season anyone even if it were ready.

Richard that is a brill idea ur going on2 the concept of like all the big managers games on the p.c and playstations,a think its 1 of my fav things on a managers game is building up the stadium over like a 5year period,the way u hav set it out should work,just needs a few wee tweeks but am sure u will get there.

This would be a great Idea, I can't see anyone being against this. You never know - Cardiff might actually get their stadium up before the real team does. Although, if it's realistic - You will have Ridsdale whispering in your ear that most of your transfer kitty is going on the stadium so get ready for a summer of free agents lol.

Hi Richard,

The link works fine, just looked at it.  What a top Idea.
Are the stadiums going to be started from stratch or are they going to be the size of the teams stadium at the moment?
With this idea there will have to be a feature to tell you the attendance of each game yes?

Not at the moment. The problem is finding a way in which it's easily interactive for managers. That stumbling block might mean its not introduced in time for season 2, if a solution isn't found.

Richard what about u have a canvas with the pitch in the middle then the rest could be squares,each square can be halfed and could mean 250seats,meaning each full square would be 500 seats,u could make this more or less depents how many squares u but on the canvas,with it being little squares it means u could curve and shape the studium ,half a square could cost say just to make it easy 1000pounds so for the full square it would be double, what capacity they want ,they could just colour in the squares they want filled and send the sheet to u so u can calculate how much money to take of there account,it sounds easy to do but it would take up a little more of ur time,doing it that way means u could sculped ur staduim to a certain shape,it could work,thought ad put sum input in,hoping it might helpsmile

Actually thats pretty much how I've got it set up. But I was looking for an easier way for managers to do it. At the moment it'd be them sending me an excel page which, as you've described, they'd select the squares they want folled with seating.

I had hoped to find an easier way to interact from manager to stadium because it means each time you want to extend, you have to be sent an excel sheet, add the changes, then send it back for me to work out what it would cost to change.

Of course it's more than possible to run it that way, but I had hoped for an easier way which hasn't been forthcoming sadly. But it doesn't mean this idea has been scrapped by any means.

Simon I'd say check that player is installed on the computer. You both couldn't access it so it may be the flash player isn't on the computer. Give me a shout if you still can't get it to work.

Yeah see im stumped on that 1 Rich,how to make it easier is a hard 1,not unless uv got a really good A.I server that can do it all for u lol,prob the way uv got got it is the easiest way a can think of doing it,am not big on computers so a dont no what ud need to set that up,all im going to say is good luck blankstare
