I was thinking that it would be great if we could nominate certain players to be Captain, Penalty taker, Free Kick taker, or even nominate certain players to man mark others. So If I had one really good Defender and I was up against Henry - I could allocate that player to watch him throughout the game. I'm not sure if this is a possibility but it would be great if we could use it.

Henry is unmarkable my man!!

Liked the idea though - although id wager its quite hard for Richard to implement if the match engine doesnt provide for freekicks / corners etc already

I also havent seen any penalties or red cards in any matches yet - is this planned at all?

Possibly in the future, but at the moment I'm not sure how I could easily incorporate set piece takers etc.

Penalties have been removed in the new game and just show up as normal goals. Red cards are still around. There have been a couple this season so far but they're likely to increase as the season goes on.

Captains were in the old game; stated by putting a C after their name, is this the same in the new game?
