I don't know if this has been brought up before, but I just had an idea about free agents. I know that on both this game and in the previous one there have been lots of arguments about free agents - with bigger clubs having the priority and just signing free agents to sell on or sit in the reserves list, when smaller teams could do with their talent.
What if clubs that wanted to sign free agents had to convince the player that their club was the best one to join? They would perhaps have to send a short e-mail to Rich to say why - stating for example that they will get regular football, play x many games etc etc etc, with Rich then deciding on the most convincing one.
I know that some people on the game dont have much internet access every week, but the email woulld only have to be short really and wouldnt, i dont think, take any longer than 5 minutes to do
I just think that this is a better idea than just sending players to the biggest club interested, as I dont feel that this ALWAYS happens in real life (with the exception of Sidwell and Chelsea of course!)
Any ideas or different suggestions
Thanks
Rob

The problem is a player will normally pick the best club possible. In most cases big clubs don't want free agents except in situations like Sidwell obviously.
I do think the FA situation to even itself out in time. If you've noticed, squads are filling up and people will start to have to make decisions between the chance of a youth player and signing an average free agent. I think you'll find most top clubs will prefer to hold on in the hope of a youth player, which will mean free agents then going to the lower clubs.
Obviously if that doesn't happen, I'll have to look at ways of evening it out.
