With this weeks update should be showing wages for each team. This is a wage bill for the season and so each week it will increase, with the final team sheet showing you the exact wage bill you'll be paying in the close season for the last 23 weeks.
Hopefully this is useful and is a move begin to allow finances to be more accessible for managers planning, alongside future developments and recent additions such as the club shops and sponsorships.
It will also allow someone, should they have a bit of free time, to compare wage bill against leage position, to show who is over achieving!! A good way to impressive potential interested clubs for future jobs no doubt.
Like the idea of seeing what is going off with the expenses but, and it is only a point, What is the explanation for a team like Fulham say, who have a wage bill of 0.2m with a full squad and Atalanta with 0.7m. He has some very good players with the ratings. Is it because Alan has 6 loanees?
I'm pretty sure loan player's wages are paid for by the club that owns them. That's why I have a higher wage bill than some teams that have higher rated players and bigger squads than me - it's because I have quite a few players out on loan.
isnt it a little unfair starting the loan/wage rule at mid season? Team who have taken players on a season long loan done so on the understanding that they did not have to pay the wages?

I know I obviously have season long loan players but I completely agree with sentiments this isn't fair to bring in the rule on existing loans. It should be brought in at the end of the season so managers can actually react to the ruling.
Or are you going to let managers cancel loans?
Just an idea too, but couldn't managers negotiate wages with the loaning club. i.e. 0%, 50%, 100% etc
I'd like to also add that I think it should come into affect at the start of next season. May also be the death of League one. One of the major factors in that league is loans due to the lack of money and investment with most teams. It will make it harder bringing in bigger names from now on.
Well that's what I thought. I will be 1-0's and 0-0's every week. You will always have promotion and relegation but it won't be so interesting and i see an influx of Job applications in the "Jobs" section as people won't ant to be in League 1, Serie B and Segunda
However does it not suit the teams with human chairman. They would effectively have their wages paid by their owners.
End of the day I don't really have an issue with a rule change. Just because it doesn't suit my managerial style doesn't make it a bad rule.
I would strongly campaign for the rule to be brought in at the end of the season however, or at least on new agreed loans from the half season point, as managers weren't to know this when getting the loans in.

I don't think it will be boring infact I think it will make it better, because at the moment there are probably 3 teams in league 1 who could top the league because of loans. If it wernt for these loans it would be a lot closer with more teams envolved, tactics would play a bigger role, which would then also show who tactically is the better manager. But like the rest of you I think it should start from next season.
I couldn't see wages a week ago and this change would have meant nothing to me. Teams will have to build a team if they don't want to spend lots on loan player wages. This must be good? I agree with benjyg it will make the divisions closer and more down to the manager skill not who they know.
