The new rules state that youth academy construction must happen by week 5 of any given season to apply for that season, just the same as stadium construcion and club shop expansions. However as this is the first season, and they have been introduced after week 5, I had said I would give everyone the chance to buy themselves an academy.
The information is in the rules on these, but also there is the relevant options in the Academy area on the home page drop down, to allow you to build one. Please note, because this is a one off, you only have the option to do this this week, after that you'll have to wait until the start of next season.
Each level you upgrade gives you 2 spaces in the academy for youth contracted players.
Each level you upgrade costs £5 million.
If you're buying for the club you manage, you can use the bank balance or you can use your manager wages.
If you're buying for the club you own, you can use your manager wages.
