i really think there should be a deadline brought in on the admin players as i think it is total bollocks that i misse out on a player dispite being top bidder when team sheet deadline was up and the lunch time deadline that was in place was up and even the scoutinting deadline was up i messaged rich (FA) about this without reply i just think its crap that someone can come in way after any deadline and out bid someone nothing will happen about this but just thought i would sy how unhappy i am with this

what lunch time deadline?

the rules state the following:

Bids will be accepted by FA posting in the relevent threads on Thursday or Friday usually unless otherwise necessary.

There is no mention of a deadline.

I read the rules as you can bid until FA have posted that a deal has been agreed so why shouldn't Deportivo's bid stand.

There is always going to be someone that loses out no matter how it is done.

You have done well out of admin club so far under this system so I am surprised you are not in favour Dale.

I personally prefer this system ( and not just because I had a bid accepted) as it is easier to know what type of bid is required to sign a player

I agree with mark here but i do think any bids should be closed say 7pm Thursday latest and that given as a latest deadline but that WD can close it anytime earlier if a good bid comes in?
I think managers should Be given the opportunity to use those transfer spaces elsewhere.

Sorry if I shouldn't have bid but I haven't used this bit of the game before.
I couldn't see a time deadline in the rules and I had an email saying I won the player.

mate you got nothing to say sorry for there was a bit in the rules saying that bids would be accepted at lunchtime but that has gone now. think a deadline should be in place from now on though there are deadlines with everything else so why not this?

The scout region I was in was open till 6:02 even if the late bid was on time it should have been shut at 6:00.

What time did the deadline used to be for buying admin players then?

Administration

As it's being discussed elsewhere; administration has never been a lunchtime deadline. I've purposely never put a deadline on it for this reason... the previous system was email based, and I would email the winning bidder late on to make sure teams didn't miss out on extra time for bids to come in. The reason it was moved to here is to take out time I spend dealing with bids coming in that go up £0.1 million every bid, which is a slightly pathetic waste of time for me, up to managers if they want to have a bidding war that way.

If I have time and if there's only 1 team interested in a player, then I may accept administration bids as early as Thursday afternoon, but most will be Friday if only for work reasons.

If you don't like this bidding system on the message board with no set deadline, it would only go back to you having to email me bids, and in this emailing system I could accept bids whenever, so I really don't see how people have an issue with this now when it's one of the features that hasn't changed...

Richard.
